Royals - This means two different things
1. Felines that live in the home country of Kilnay who support the King's decisions
2. Canines who support the decisions of the Kilnay monarchy
Rebels - Again there are two different meanings
1. Canines who feel they should seperate from the home country in all things and form their own country
2. Felines who believe that those living in Furling have the right to seperate from the home country
Privateers - an armed ship that is privately owned and manned, commissioned by a government to fight or harass enemy ships. There are only a few privateers working for the Royals as the navy is superior to any other. Kilnay has no navy so they rely heavily on Privateers.
Pirates - a person who robs or commits illegal violence at sea or on the shores of the sea. Of course there is a lot of paperwork and money involved in becoming privateers, plus you have to convince investors to sponsor you to politicians to get a letter of Marque. If you have your own ship but dont want to deal with the hassle you can become a pirate. During this time most folks ignore the differences.
